INSPIRATION

My journey in painting began over 15 years ago. Around the time I began taking influence from iconic street artists like Banksy and Shepard Fairey, my evolution took a turn when I ran out of canvas and, being fed up of wrapping canvases, turned to some old plywood in the garage. It was at this point that spray paint became part of the creative process.

The juxtaposition of natural wood and textures with the "urban grunge" of spray cans became both intriguing and metaphorical. Up close, the strokes and textures might appear imperfect and visually striking, yet when viewed from a distance, these seemingly flawed elements harmonize to craft something profoundly relatable. Much like life itself, and the Japanese art of kintsugi, beauty doesn't always arise from perfection.
